The verdict is not the end
It is only the beginning
Strong will shall keep spreading
Chala - Head - Chala
And sometimes you have to go back,
To know just where you have been
But were old enough to know that
What has been will be again (and again)
And the bravest of faces are the ones where we fake it
And the roles that we play
Nothing matters when the pain is all but gone
When you are finally awake
Despite the overwhelming odds tomorrow came
And when they see you crack a smile
And you decide to stay awhile
You'll be ready then to laugh again
GODDAMMIT!!! is everyone here retarded?
i have seen lead and steel turn into liquid at these speeds!! THE FUCKING GOLFBALL IS A PIECE OF SOFT MATTER!!! IT IS RUBBER!!! it may feel hard when you're holding it in your hand but high energy impacts CAN CHANGE THAT!
a golfball at 150 Mph will have about the same effect on your head as a .44 magnum bullet.
a golfer can only accelerate a golf ball to about 100 mph in about 50 milliseconds. this is happening at 150 mph in about 800 microseconds! DUR!

@triotheyoshi are you retarded. there is a point at which those materials you speakof such as lead and steel deform and cannot return to there original shape. for them it is very little. same for the golf ball, only it can deform alot more than say a ball of steel. but not like this. you think if it deformed to this degree it would bounce back to its original shape like this? you are the retarded one my hostile little friend.

@tubestick00 do you seriously believe that warping a golfball for a 4/5 of a millisecond would destroy it? you sure need to go and study the material more, rubber is tough as hell!

@triotheyoshi well yes i do believe that. this golfball pancakes to about 10 mm thick and behaves in a way that i know it is not possible for the ball to recover its original shape from. it seems pretty obvious to me but hey, you reckon im just a retard. do you know anything about physics ? huh smart guy? or are you just trying to learn at the same time as telling everyone how it is?

@triotheyoshi look at any highspeed video of a golf ball being hit and you will see it only deforms a tiny amount, its the speed at which it reforms that gives it its speed, not the amount it deforms.
there are also videos of golfballs being destroyed. please watch them before replying so we dont all have to feel more embarrased for you.

@redsox09544
the last time i tore open a golf ball there was a hard rubber core.
now who is being the hostile one?
oh and inside the rubber core was, guess what, some wound up string!

@redsox09544 depends what kind of ball..lol Some are all rubber. Them cheapo Titech and Top Flight balls are mostly all rubber. They mass produce cheaply and the balls are complete shit.

Energy is a matter made out of the movement in the electrons in atoms, as well as what is released on high impact. Solid objects have a molecular arrangement that holds the material together for instance steel. It's strong and all.
But when the amount of energy released on impact is more than what the molecules have holding on to each other the arrangement of the molecules changes. And at that period in time a lot of the molecules are loose and can move around just like liquid.

@triotheyoshi Metal can compress, but it will not bounce back into it's original shape. Standard golf balls are not rubber. Golf balls are a hard plastic exterior, and a synthetic rubber interior. The hard plastic exterior will simply not deform that much without breaking.
That doesn't mean this video is "fake" per se, it means the ball is not an official golf ball, but a practical joke ball (staller), or a white ball of rubber with dimples.

First of all, 70000fps is NOT 150mph.
Now, a typical 46 gram 42.67mm golf ball travelling at 150mph traverses its own diameter in 626 microseconds. So, it decelerates from 150mph to 0 in 626 microseconds. That means it undergoes a deceleration of
10 927 G's. It makes the 45 gram ball feel like a 501 kilos ball. Put 501 kilos on top of a golf ball and see how much it deforms. This video MAY be fake, but the physics seem correct.
