    Statement from Blizzard Entertainment® to the WC3Banlist Community

    As many of you are aware, Blizzard Entertainment® strongly opposes the development and use of hacks, exploits or other third party programs designed to allow users to disrupt the integrity of its games. In accordance with this position, we have taken action to halt the development or use of these hacks, both through technical means and by enforcing our legal rights. We will continue to do so as needed.

    We appreciate the devotion and enthusiasm that many of the visitors to Banlist.nl and similar websites have for Warcraft® III and other Blizzard titles. However, we have consistently maintained that the development and use of hacks and cheats is unlawful under both U.S. and international law, because such software violates our EULA and Terms of Use, circumvents our copyright protections, and infringes our rights. Beyond being unlawful, such conduct harms not only Blizzard, but also those who enjoy Blizzard games. By having to devote resources to fighting the spread of hacks and cheats, we are diverted from using those resources for the maintenance and improvement of our current games and the development of future games.

    In connection with our ongoing efforts to protect our rights, we have contacted a number of individuals with significant involvement in the development and distribution of hack and cheat software, including Knarf's WC3Banlist software. Those contacted have agreed to cease any further hacking activity, and we appreciate their cooperation. Please know that Blizzard fully intends to protect its rights and will continue to contact those who do not voluntarily cease their activities.

    The forums will still be online today.



    Ja wie der Titel bereits sagt, ist die Seite wc3banlist.de/ down.
    Nun wird sich wohl keiner mehr die Banlist uf den rechtlich erlaubten Weg holen können. Jedoch werden wohl die meisten (die bereits in Besitz des Banlist-Programmes sind) sie weiter benutzen.

    Bitte postet hier eure Meinung zu diesem "Ereignis" bzw nehmt Stellung dazu.

  • naja...was soll man sagen, wenn die sich in ihren rechten verletzt fühlen und damit im recht sind kann man nix machen...aber da die BL soooo verbreitet ist , denke ich ist das kein prob das die site down ist...für mich als nicht-host jedenfalls

  • Hmmm, ich hab nichts gegen diese Maßnahme von Blizzard.
    War eigendlich immer gegen die Banlist, da die komplett sinnfrei ist. Das Pingen kann durch die richtige Firewalleinstellung unterbunden werden und außerdem laggen auch viele mit einem 70er Ping.
    Die Herkunftsabfrage ist ebenfalls sinnfrei, da das eigendlich nur einen Anti-Rus-Hype ausgelöst hatte. Angeblich laggten alle Russen und waren dumme Noobs/Flamer. Keiner hat mehr Russen seinen Spielen joinen lassen um sich zu vergewissern, ob das vielleicht auch wirklich so wäre.
    Wenn man zu oft gebannt wurde hat man sich nen anderen Acc zugelegt. Außerdem joinen dann auch nur noch andere potentielle Leaver.

    Frage an alle Banlistuser: Hat euch die Banlist die Anzahl der Leaver in Spielen reduziert?

    Da ich prinzipiell gegen 3rd Partieprogramme bin und die Banlist das 3rd Partieprogramm ist, welches am tiefsten in WarCraft eingreift, freue ich mich eigendlich richtig.
    Ich erinnere mich noch an die kleinen Idioten, welche solche Kommentare wie "Banned 'couse of using 3rd partie programms!!!" von sich gaben. Gott hab ich gelacht.

    Das Wort "Würde" kennen manche Menschen nur noch als Konjunktiv II in dem Satz: "Für Geld würde ich alles machen."

    Jap hat es, aber mir ist es eigentlich egal ob ich mit oder ohne banlist spiele.

    Ich Finde aber eins Schade: Leaver und extreme lagger zerstören games das ist einfach ein Fakt!
    Also bastelt die Community ein Programm um dies einzudämmen weil Blizzard selbst unfähig ist was dagegen zu unternehmen.(wollen sie meiner meinung auch garnicht weil dann wengier leute spielen würden)
    Das hat wohl zu protesten und vieleicht auch weniger Spielern (sprich weniger geld) geführt und deshalb wirds verboten...

    Bin sogar ziemlich sicher das es so ist, komme ja aus der WoW community und da betreibt Blizzard einfach nur abzocke mit den Kunden, denen gehts echt nur ums geld!

    zählt das programm w3hph von zenarius oda so(ihr wisst schon, das was wirklich einfach nur die HP anzeigt) auch dazu?

    kann das battlenet/bllizzard oder sonst wer merken das ich die BL an hab?

    das kann man auch ohne w3hph machen und zwar auch dauerhaft glaub ich
    (mit irgend ner combo)
    ich denke da es ja nur ne spiel funktion benutzt wird das in ordnung sein

    bringt ja nichts und es gibt auch solche idioten die einfach zum spass
