Wenig überraschend.Mitch McConnell schrieb:
In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president’s second term. We kept our promise. Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year.
By contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep our promise.
President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.

Failed attempt to sting The Washington Post (2017)
Beginning in July 2017, Project Veritas operative Jaime Phillips attempted to infiltrate The Washington Post and other media outlets by joining networking groups related to journalism and left-leaning politics. She and a male companion attended events related to the Post, and their conversations with journalists were sometimes covertly recorded.[155]
In November 2017, The Washington Post reported that several women accused Republican Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore of pursuing them while they were teenagers and he was in his 30s.[156] Later that same month, Jaime Phillips approached The Washington Post and falsely claimed that Moore had impregnated her as a teenager and that she had an abortion.[156][157] In conducting its usual fact-checking, the Post discovered multiple red flags in her story. They found a GoFundMe page in her name that said, "I've accepted a job to work in the conservative media movement to combat the lies and deceipt [sic] of the liberal MSM.
Yes. This. No one I know, including people who work 2 and 3 jobs and have next to nothing, pay as little as Trump.
But talk to conservatives, and they'll tell you that the rest of us should coddle and powder the butts of the rich like Trump, merely because they're rich grifters. This guy owes hundreds of millions because he lives a lavish lifestyle like a king.
So, our Democracy has now become a monarchy? The hardworking people of this nation have to support the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? Conservatives who froth at the mouth because a single mother has the audacity to buy a steak and an extra box of Little Debbies, who bitch and moan because they have to pay a few bucks in taxes a year so elderly disabled people can have health care, conservatives who scream like banshees when you talk about defunding the police are perfectly fine with supporting the life of a conman who fucks porn stars and grabs women by the pussy?
Cracks me up. Conservatives want to go back to having kings, like Grassley and McConnell. that we prop up with our blood, sweat, and tears. They don't care that people like Trump are living large as hell, living large as hell, and won't help fund police, firefighters, and other public safety functions.
When did Conservatives becomes such fawning sycophants of the rich? I see Trump flags on the homes of the poorest people here in Appalachia. These people can barely afford shoes, ffs, but they're all happy to support their "king."
This is amazing to me. Truly. I never thought I'd see the day so many people would worship the wealthy like gods, yet be bitter over ever having to do a thing for their fellow working class sorts. I understand the trustafarians and the hedge fund wolves and so forth worshipping this guy, but poor working class people are okay with paying more in taxes than a guy who lives like a god?
lmao at the idiots. I can't help it. On another forum for politics, we're all just hysterically laughing at the poor deluded rubes who are saying "This is fine."
Yet, when they look at their hopeless lives, they never blame the Grassleys or the McConnells or the Trumps of the world who don't ever pay their fair share and use our government and tax money to enrich themselves at the expense of the poor. The economically disadvantaged Trump supporters blame the immigrant and the lesbian and the atheist and the liberal who pay more in taxes than those rich slobs.
It's all so damned hilarious to me at this point, I can't stop laughing at Trump and his idiot fans. It's just too damned funny in that bizarre way that Pascale's standoff with the cops is cracking me up, too.
What a timeline we live in. The comedy hits keep coming. Enjoy the humor, everybody. It's all we're getting out of this guy, so take what you can get.
