Hello there!
My name is Hans2, I am over 40 years old, married (I think) and I play Dota. I am off course very pro at this game, that's why I decided to write this guide. To help you noobies out there.
I have divided my strategy into several categories so you can read the ones you need to work on but I suggest you go over the entire thing since you'll never be as Gosu as me, not even close.
1. Before the Game.
2.1. Hero choice.
2.2. Lane choice.
2.3. Item choice.
3. Playstyle.
4. Early/Mid/Late game actions.
Ending Notes.
Let's get to it shall we!
1. Before the Game.
- This is very important! Even though the game hasn't started yet, you can already make sure you have an advantage. BE THE HOST! Especially with a crappy connection, this allows you to kill other players more easily as they have delay and lag.
If you are not the host, complain about lag all game and make sure that they believe you. This can be achieved by running into towers at level 1, etc.
Also, be sure to type in caps when complaining.
2.1. Hero choice.
Now, be sure to pick a hero like Bone Fletcher, Leoric, Pandaren, etc. All of these heroes have awesome survivability and their moves can be perfectly executed by even the biggest moron. These heroes also have a move that can be used as an escape mechanism in case of idiotic mistakes or when they gank you after they notice you've been soloing top for 30 minutes.
Full list of heroes I can play:
- Pandaren Battlemaster.
- Bone Fletcher.
- King Leoric.
That's all of them. Isn't it amazing? Most people can only play one or two heroes while I actually managed to master the skills of THREE HEROES.
2.2. Lane choice.
Simple, go solo top. If someone comes with you or if another person calls top. Ignore them, flame them and later on, leave the game.
Why top?
-
-
-
- I have no idea. That's how pro I am.
That covers the Lane choice part.
2.3. Item choice.
The trick is to get Aegis/Rapier. Why? Because it works well on any hero and requires no skill. Just attack-move to own all in your path. Be sure to get it as fast as I do (around the 50-60 minute mark) and make NO OTHER ITEMS during the time. Your imba hero choice shoud stay alive since well... he's imba. Once you get Aegis/Rapier start solo pushing... as you did all game actually, but I'll go deeper into this in the Actions section.
3. Playstyle.
Now, you're soloing. That means that you have to ignore every single person on yuour team, even their pings should be ignored. You are a strong imba hero who doesn't need a team to survive or win the game. Just go to the top lane and attack move.
Here are a few more things you should mind:
- Never warn your allies when a hero is missing.
- If you win because of team effort, say "Haha, Hans2 solo ownage again!" in All -chat.
- If you get ganked, blame your allies.
- Just leave autocast moves on, mana replenishes.
- Last hitting and denying is for noobs like InDe_eD or Merlini.
These are just a few things you should mind while playing.
Let's get to the last section!
4. Early/Mid/Late game actions.
Early Game:
Go top. Click attack-move. Only back when the tower is hitting you. Decent enemies don't gank or harass now so you should be just fine.
Mid Game:
Still just keep on attack-moving. Now you might want to try and go for a Killsteal. But mostly, just stay in your lane.
Late Game:
I see late-game as the part beyond 50minutes, you should almost have Rapîer by now. When you manage to get Rapier, start pushing. If you die and drop it, just leave the game.
After farming a bit faster you should manage to get Aegis too. Just keep on solo pushing and don't forget to take all the glory for the win when the game ends.
Notice how I get Rapier before Aegis. This is just one of the small Gosu facts hidden in my playstyle.
Ending notes.
If you follow all of the stuff you just read, there should be no stopping you. As long as you get the right hero. If you want to see some of my replays, check out the replays section on this site, it contains thousands of them. All about me soloing. Off course I only post the few ones where I actually win, that's why it took me so long to get these replays on.
Now kids, I hope you enjoy playing my strategy. And remember:
Hans2 is the God of Dota and every strategy he uses is executed perfectly and cannot be beaten!
