'Maturity,' father had slowly begun,' Is knowing you're wrong and accepting it, son. There's prudence in pausing with patience and joy - And hearing the wisdom in others, my boy. 'A person's perspective,' he said with a smile, 'Is plain if you walk in their shoes for a while. | And if you can do it - if maybe you do - You might understand, and agree that it's true.' I followed his reasons, and nodded, polite; Perhaps that was logic - perhaps he was right. Perhaps there was truth in his claim all along... 'I'm twenty,' I countered: 'I'm right, and you're wrong.' |
At the end of last year Team Secret parted ways with Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein and Rasmus 'MiSeRy' Filipsen. Unfortunately multiple teams experienced a roster leak after Perfect World accidently revealed the new rosters on the Dota 2 Asia Championship website. At the time this happened none of the teams involved were ready to announce their changes.
Today we are confirming that Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev and Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg will be taking their place on the team and will be heading to China with Team Secret in order to participate in the Dota 2 Asia Championship. The team felt it was important to move into 2015 with a strengthened line up in order to prepare for the wave of upcoming tournaments and to help us achieve the ultimate goal of winning an International.
We understand these changes have upset some of our fans and for that we can only apologise. Johan has included his own personal statement below which will go into more detail on this.
Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein’s statement:
“Hello!
I've been wanting to do a statement for a while regarding the shuffle, and why I am no longer on Team Secret, but I've been very busy with Christmas, New Years and I've been thinking a lot about what to say.
Let me take you back to the very beginning of this team. Me and Kuro were talking together in Seattle after TI4. We got along very well, and still do, but at the time we were unhappy with how things had went in the past, Dota related.
Talks kept happening and we ended up deciding on forming a team together with a very specific idea in mind. This would be a winning team, a team built to win. If a problem would occur within the team the problem would be solved within the team, if that's turns out not to be possible the team would fix it the other way (i.e. roster replacements).
And that's what has happened this last month and a half.
I have a very good relationship with everyone remaining in secret, there is not a single ounce of bad blood between us and I don't see a reason for there to be any. The decision to remove myself and misery for Zai and Arteezy I completely understand, I would be stupid if I don't get the reasoning behind this decision. They're very talented players and there were some issues within the team, although minor issues, the team thinks it can do better with this change.
For the people following the scene closely, you will have already seen I found my place in the Cloud9 team and I am very positive about what we can accomplish, but that post is for another time.
The main point of this post is to remove any negativity towards any of these players that jumped teams, whether it’s Secret, EG or C9.
We are just young boiz that wanna play doto ^^
Thanks for reading, enjoy the scene and don't make it worse!”
We want to take this opportunity to thank Johan for everything he has done for the team inside and out of the game. Johan has always been a constant source of entertainment and motivation for us and will be greatly missed.
We also want to thank Rasmus for his help during December when the team was down a player and needed someone to step in and help bring home our first set of championships for the team.
We wish both players the best of luck in their future and you can find both of them in action for Cloud9 in the DAC 2015 tournament.
The change in roster also includes a few role changes with KuroKy switching to a support role, Arteezy taking the carry role and zai taking the offlane role.
Team Secret
1. Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev
2. Gustav 's4' Magnusson
3. Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg
4. Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov
5. Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi
As always a big thank you to our fans for your continued support; we couldn't do it without you!
