      The Shanghai Major, the first Major tournament of 2016, will feature sixteen of the best teams in the world competing over five days in a double elimination tournament.

      As with The Frankfurt Major, eight teams will be directly invited, and eight teams will come from the Regional Qualifiers. Each of the four Regional Qualifiers will feature ten teams, eight preselected plus the two winners of each region’s Open Qualifiers that will occur between January 3rd and the 6th. If you haven’t yet signed up and want to participate in the Open Qualifiers, you can still do it here.

      A couple hours after this post, the direct invite teams who will be participating in the Shanghai Majors for a share of the $3 million dollar prize pool will be announced. They will be revealed one by one as soon as the countdown timer reaches zero.

      nichts gegen alliance und auch ganz ohne fangaygelaber aber liquid hat sich wenigstens konstant recht weit oben platzieren können, wohingegen alliance wacklig wie hölle sind und dazu nur das irrelevanteste turnier des jahres geholt haben ?_?

      dass IRGENDWAS in china ist ist seit gut nem jahr eigentlich überhaupt kein grund mehr von irgendeiner art von exzellenz auszugehen

    • CDEC und VG sind halt andere Region und stehen daher nicht in Konkurrenz zu Liquid bei den Invites. Und da es ein Major ist, sind Slots für jede Region schon okay.


      Anstelle von Liquid hätte dann OG, Secret oder Alliance rausfliegen müssen. OG als Titelverteidiger klar drin, Secret auch klar > Liquid. Alliance und Liquid finde ich ca gleich auf von den Leistungen her. Hätte man beide vertreten können.

    • Siehst du ja trotzdem, es geht hier ja nur um die Invites. Für die "besten Spieler" sollten die Qualifier wohl kaum ein Hindernis darstellen. Und das man bei ner "Weltmeisterschaft" sicher geht dass auch die ganze Welt dran teilnimmt ist doch absolut logisch. Soll schließlich ein Event für alle sein.

      Ist schon allein deswegen falsch, weil NA und SEA Qualifier 2 Qualifier Spots haben.
