konventionell hinschicken würde extrem lange dauern. voyager 1 ist ca. 20,6 milliarden kilometer entfernt und der abschuss war 1977. heutzutage würde sich zwar vermutlich was schnelleres bauen lassen als 1977, aber es wären immer noch jahr

Erstmal gucken was da ist. Gibt ein konzept für kleine sonden die mit laser von der erde weggeschossen werden und 1/4 der lichtgeschwindigkeit erreichen. Könnten die in einem realistischen zeitraum dorthin schicken und 40 jahre später hätten wir dann fotos/daten usw.

Mir gehts doch gar net darum, dass wir was davon haben. Aber vll entsteht dann dadurch in n paar Millarden Jahren auch Leben dort. Man sollte aber vorher irgendwie feststellen, dass dort noch nichts Lebendiges ist. ach ja so als kleine visualisierung WIE nah die entdeckung jetzt ist, vielleicht hilft diese kleine sternenkarte. TRAPPIST-1 ist 39-40 ly entfernt, liegt auf jeden fall innerhalb des kringels der die sonne markiert.

Das Beschleunigen auf hohe Geschwindigkeiten ist afaik doch gar nicht das Problem, sondern dass dabei alles heile bleibt. Gibt halt doch Staub im Weltall. Gibt ja mittlerweile schon nen Ionenantrieb. Der hat zwar nur die Stärke vergleichbar mit nem Fön, aber wenn der n paar Jahre durchbeschleunigt, sollte das eigentlich für beliebige Endgeschwindigkeiten ausreichen. Bin mir grad aber nicht sicher, ob der nicht auch n bisschen Treibstoff braucht für den Ionenantrieb. Es gibt eine von mehreren Milliardären finanzierte Arbeitsgruppe die nen theoretisches Modell entwickelt haben wo sowas besprochen wird.

Da wird eine wenige gramm schweres objekt mit einem riesigen graphensegel von der sonne aus angestrahlt und auf 0,2c beschleunigt.
Damit kommt man in 40Jahren zu alpha centauri. Allerdings haste dann 0,2c drauf und bist in nen paar sekunden vorbei kannst also nix sinnvolles messen. Mit nen paar Manövern und dem "Umdrehen" des Schildes kommt man in die Umlaufbahn von nem Planten um Alpha Centauri in ca 140Jahren. Musst dann halt die Alpha Centauri Strahlung nutzen um abzubremsen.

Klingt jetzt erstmal nicht schlecht und ist in nem halbwegs realistischem Zeitfenster aber
erstens können wir noch lange nicht dieses riesige Segel herstellen also nichtmal eins mit 1m² eher so 1cm² ist Stand der Technik soweit ich weiss
zweitens können in 140Jahren auch einige Sachen an dem Ding kaputtgehen
drittens hat das Teil dann ne "Nutzlast" von wenigen gramm. Reicht vllt für nen Foto und bisschen Funken. Fürs Funksignal brauchste ja auch schonwieder Jahre bis das da ist. Mal von der Datenübertragung des Bildes abgesehen
